@JanCerny:
Thanks for the link, but - as already stated by Pete12 - this freshly released Intel Chipset Device "Drivers" Set doesn't contain any new or updated INF file.
They are all within the "Latest Intel Chipset Device INF files v10.1 Series WHQL comp 05-17-2020", which I am offering within the start post of this thread..

@nima:
Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!
The best way to find the appropriate driver for devices, which are shown within the Device Manager, is the knowledge of the specific manufacturer (shown by the VendorID=VEN_XXXX) and the specific model (shown by the DeviceID=DEV_XXXX) of the devices. To find them out, you should do a right-click onto the related device and choose the options "Properties" > "Details" > "Property" > "HardwareIDs". Important are just the VendorID and the DeviceID.
Now to your mentioned devices:
1. Ethernet and USB Controllers need a specific real driver (depending on the VendorID and DeviceID). The Intel Chipset Device INF files do not support them.
2. The device named "PCI Simple Communication Controller" seems to be the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI). You can find the related Intel MEI driver >here< within the section A.
3. The "SM Bus Controller" and the "PCI Device" seem to be real Intel Chipset Devices and are probably both supported by the "Driverpacks", which are offered within the start post of this thread.
4. Regarding the "Unknown device" I need the HardwareIDs of it.
Good luck!

@nima:
Here is my comment to your 2 remaining driver problems:

  1. Unfortunately Intel has never released (and probably will never release) Intel USB 3.0/3.1 drivers, which do natively support modern Intel chipset systems while running Win7.
    The only known solution is to modify the Intel Controller driver and the related INF file. For details please look into >this< thread.
  2. Regarding the "Unknown device" please have a look into >this< thread. Without any information about your specific mainboard/system it is difficult to find the appropriate ACPI driver/INF file. Maybe >this< driverpack will solve your problem.

Good luck!

@nima For the ACPI\ACPI000E, check this post: [Solution] ACPITME / EHCI(AMT) driver for win7 64bit of new Intel chipset systems
It's the ACPI Wake Alarm

Hi Dieter,

I have known you for many years and you do a great job of keeping the neophytes informed.

Now a lot of old dogs like me have been forcing installs of .INF for many years. This was especially important when I was on the VIA forums with the BUS and ATA drivers that needed to be recognized by the driver installer.

Now I understand that Windows identifies most hardware especially Intel hardware hence that reason of not having to install chipset .inf drivers.

Now, if one wants to reverse the process and get rid of the « BLOATWARE » as you mentioned and they haven't kept the installer and used a silent command line, how could they get rid of the bloatware without having to reinstall from scratch?

Thanks for your help.

Hey thanks for all the advice Fernando! New user here.

I'm an idiot and did a -overall install on latest intel chipset.

Should I remove the other generation (non Skylake) inf files from my PC? If you have a link even better!

@SanityTest(life):
Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!
It is not easy to get all the installed, but unusable/not matching INF files deleted. If you are able to uninstall the Installer Set completely (inclusive all INF and CAT files), do it and re-install just the needed "pure" Intel Chipset Device INF files thereafter.
Another option is to do a clean OS and Intel Chipset Device "drivers" installation, when a new version of the OS is available.
Enjoy the Forum!
