@Lost_N_BIOS,

Howdy??

Hope you are doing well.
I am still waiting for the encore board but i have noticed that Asus has released a new bios 3105 for many x299 boards except the encore.
Many users are complaining about BSOD and false readings.

Just wanted to give you the heads up Lost_N_Bios if anyone asks you to mod this 3105.

Wish I could test it myself but i am unable to.

Cheers.

@Lost_N_BIOS,

Hey man, hope you are doing well.

Could you check for me please if there is a new microcode for this Rampage encore 0702 bios that you modded?

I finally got my encore board and I flashed your mod bios, working like a champ however I have not tested so far VROC but once I do I will let you know how it goes.

Thanks again for your kind help.

@Lost_N_BIOS

Hello Lost_N_BIOS,

I have PM you just now.
I was trying to find out if the Intel RSTe EFI "RaidDriver" modules from the v7 platform are included in this mod bios?

Your latest change-log does not show it.
If mistaken then disregard that PM.

Many thanks

@Lost_N_BIOS,

Hi mate,

Once you are able to, can you check if the bios you mod yourself has the Intel EFI RaidDriver install?
Here: Intel EFI "RaidDriver" BIOS Modules

I am looking after the Intel RSTe EFI VMD VROC modules (this one only)

I appreciate your help.
----------------------------

@Lost_N_BIOS,

I know now why you are using that name.
I just ventured into this

[Tool Guide+News] "UEFI BIOS Updater" (UBU)

Not as easy as walking in the park but I will try it once i have a windows machine.

Are you using by any chance the MMTool Aptio 5.02.0024 Mod" (patched new version) with UBU?

http://www.mediafire.com/file/406suaf0vs...atched.zip/file

Least I can do.

@Lost_N_BIOS

Hi mate,

Got your message, thank you for responding.

I guess that you are swamped with other bios modding request.

I am using an Asus Rampage Encore with your last mod bios 0702 (Post 48) and I would please for you if you can add to the same bios the Intel EFI RaidDriver
Here: Intel EFI "RaidDriver" BIOS Modules

The most up to date module is the Intel RSTe 7.0.0.2086 for VROC VMD, sSATA and eSata.

If they have been added already or you have added a more up to date version then i thank you in advanced.

Cheers.

@Safado2 - Hey! No, just BUSY and BURIED here always, I can never keep up with all the posts/requests, so all I can do is try my best to help as many threads as I can before they get buried

Sorry for any confusion here, I re-checked that 0702 and the 0702 UPD I made later, and the previous 0603 and all have the Legacy >>
OROM Intel VROC for SATA - 6.2.0.1034 >> Updated to >> 7.0.0.2008 >> This is at GUID 365C62BA-05EF-4B2E-A7F7-92C1781AF4F9 if you want to look at the module.
So, you want me to further update this &^^ 7.0.0.2008 >> To 7.0.0.2086? I can do, but if 2008 isn't working for you, then 2086 isn't going to either, probably some settings you still need to get correct.
This is legacy mode module, so only loaded if you have secure boot disabled, or enabled with CSM enabled, and Storage rom set to load legacy not UEFI

And the EFI (What is used when secure boot or Win10 OS type is selected, if RST/SATA is also set to load EFI/UEFI Module and not Legacy) >>
EFI Intel VROC for SATA - 6.2.0.1034 >> Updated to >> 7.5.0.1030 >> A0AD1682-AE5C-4A9C-9195-F271585CE07E

* Edit - @Safado2
Remember, I took all those from BIOS/link you posted me to, where user tistou77 had already made some updated BIOS you wanted me to use the modules from.
Sounds/looks like 7.5 EFI may not be compatible or for your system possibly, since 7.0 is latest on the page you linked now?? So, with this in mind, I'm not sure how/why tistou77 would put 7.5 into BIOS you linked me to before
Do you want me to downgrade those 7.5's to 7.0.0.2086?

Hey Lost_N_BIOS,

I know the feeling, i have been busy trying to understand all this thing specially the VMD VROC.

Allow me to respond you:

1: So, you want me to further update this &^^ 7.0.0.2008 >> To 7.0.0.2086? I can do, but if 2008 isn't working for you, then 2086 isn't going to either, probably some settings you still need to get correct.

A: I will be using the 7.0.0.2286 RSTe VROC NVMe Raid drivers and since since says that the best module to use with the 7.x branch driver is the v7.0.0.2086 thought that the bios needed to use that particular version. I have not tested yet the VROC key and the Asus Hyper M.2 card however since I know now that this bios is using 7.0.0.2008 I would not mind testing for the old bios and the new one if you can add the 7.0.0.2086

This is legacy mode module, so only loaded if you have secure boot disabled, or enabled with CSM enabled, and Storage rom set to load legacy not UEFI

A: I always have the secure boot disable and CSM disabled and UEFI enabled. Would it matter to just use the 7.0.0.2086?

And the EFI (What is used when secure boot or Win10 OS type is selected, if RST/SATA is also set to load EFI/UEFI Module and not Legacy) >>
A:That is how I have setup my bios at this stage.

EFI Intel VROC for SATA - 6.2.0.1034 >> Updated to >> 7.5.0.1030 >> A0AD1682-AE5C-4A9C-9195-F271585CE07E

Remember, I took all those from BIOS/link you posted me to, where user tistou77 had already made some updated BIOS you wanted me to use the modules from.
I recall that for sure however I have trouble understanding if those modules are actually the most up to date ones since I am looking at this page and show different:

Intel EFI "RaidDriver" BIOS Modules

Latest Intel RSTe EFI "RaidDriver" modules from the v7 platform (only for X299 chipsets):
RSTe v7.0 series:
>"pure" Intel RSTe EFI SATA "RaidDriver" v7.0.0.2086 (without header)< (>MIRROR<)
>"pure" Intel RSTe EFI sSATA "RaidDriver" v7.0.0.2086 (without header)< (>MIRROR<)
>"pure" Intel RSTe EFI VMD VROC modules v7.0.0.2086 (without header)< (>MIRROR<)

latest from the RSTe v7 platform:

AHCI & RAID ROM Modules

RSTe v7.0 series:
>Intel RSTe SATA RAID ROM v7.0.0.2008 for DEV_2826< (>MIRROR<) designed for X299 and up, thanks to tistou77 for the file.
>Intel RSTe sSATA RAID ROM v7.0.0.2008 for DEV_2827< (>MIRROR<) designed for X299 and up, thanks to tistou77 for the file.

I am bit lost here mate.

If the EFI Intel VROC for SATA - 6.2.0.1034 >> Updated to >> 7.5.0.1030 are the most up to date then all good
if the EFI Intel VROC with VMD - 6.2.0.1034 >> Updated to >> 7.5.0.1030 are the most up to date then all good.
------------------------------

@Lost_N_BIOS

That makes a lot more sense!! Why the 7.5 was not in the website but the 7.0.0.2086 is.
Yes please, can you downgrade and while you are at it, can you also add the:

latest from the RSTe v7 platform:

RSTe v7.0 series:
>Intel RSTe SATA RAID ROM v7.0.0.2008 for DEV_2826
>Intel RSTe sSATA RAID ROM v7.0.0.2008 for DEV_2827

AHCI & RAID ROM Modules

Thanks mate.

@Lost_N_BIOS,

I could not catch your edit post until i finish writing, I will edit now instead of creating more post.

There is one module missing which is the sSATA?
Intel EFI "RaidDriver" BIOS Modules (x299)
And ad per the 7.5, i have no idea why is not longer there.

@Safado2 - Please use edit button instead of making multiple posts in a row if no one has replied yet, thanks
I can't comment or discuss drivers, I know nothing about any of that. I can only put in BIOS what you tell me you want, I can't decide or comment on what you should choose based on a driver, you will have to decide.

If you have UEFI Storage set, then you would not use the legacy rom, only the EFI one (currently the 7.5's I mentioned, be sure to see my edit above)

That is NOT the thread you linked me to to grab the tistou77 already modified BIOS, so what you linked and tistou77 are NOT what I was referring to.

This is what is in yoru BIOS now, you tell me what you want instead and I will do
EFI Intel RST for SATA - 17.7.0.4404 >> Updated to >> 17.8.3.4687 << Please notice, your original BIOS has v17, not V6/7 for these two
OROM Intel RST for SATA - 17.7.0.4404 >> Updated to >> 17.8.3.4687 << Please notice, your original BIOS has v17, not V6/7 for these two

* Edit to your post I merged. Please copy paste above 5 line item, and add >> What you want it updated/downgraded to etc
Yes, not sure where the 7.5's come from, or why that was in some BIOS you linked me to previously in this thread? Seems like 7.0 is latest, so how 7.5 came around (long ago), I don't know?

@Safado2 - What, you've not already tested the hyper card and the BIOS I made you before?? If not, why?? And, do that now, it's probably already working!
sSATA is not in your BIOS

Please wait! >>

@Fernando - Can you please explain to me, what is RSTe mode vs RST mode? Additionally, what is this sSATA vs SATA?
And why does this Asus BIOS have RST V17 modules instead of V7.x RSTe for X299, original contents outlined above
Can I replace these V17.x modules with v7.x for X299?

Which should he choose for all of the above, for use with Bootable NVME RAID VROC on Hyper card? This should be something he's asking somewhere I guess
Thanks!

@Lost_N_BIOS,

the plot thickens!

AFAIK, the RSTe is for entreprise (Server level and only meant to be use with VROC) the RST is via PCH and not through the cpu.

I am off for the day.
Thanks to @Fernando for his help.

Edit: I have been unable to test the Asus hyper card until now because it was just released by customs. Will be delivered tomorrow.

@Safado2 - Please be sure you see all my edits above now, I wont edit it anymore after I post this.
As mentioned in PM and here, I can't help you decide what to use, what is compatible, or what is best etc. I can only do what you choose and tell me.
I can only edit the BIOS and stick in what you tell me (This is how 7.5 got there, wherever that came from), I don't know what is best, compatible, or needed
Maybe Fernando will tell use what all you should have for the above 5 items, and what you want to do etc.

* Edit - I see where 7.5 came from, you linked to Asus thread here - [Request] Asus Rampage VI Encore modded Bios (2)
And in that thread, 7.5 is still used/shown for the mod BIOS there

@Lost_N_BIOS,

I will try with the bios you modded last time and see if it works but i reckon that just for testing it will be a good idea to downgrade from 7.5.x to 7.0.0.2086 and leave everything else as it was before.

As per the 7.5.x driver version, Tistou may be using it but have not added/edit the current page from this forum where shows that the latest module is the 7.0.0.2086.

Thanks guys.

@tistou77 - Can you clarify what's going on here with X299 and 7.0 or 7.5 latest roms?
Which are actually latest versions, the 7.5 you used in the Asus thread, or the 7.0's posted here in the rom thread and that's just not updated to latest versions yet?
