"old" doesnt mean "bad", XP is still good OS
I didn't write, that XP is bad. Whether an OS is good or bad, depends on the point of view.
What I wanted to say is, that it will be much easier and less time consuming to get an old computer and to install XP on it than to try to get XP running on an Intel computer with a KabyLake or CoffeeLake CPU.

I think XP still active on the Enterprise market and also Senior market like my father.
he is 64 years old, lack of PC knowledge. I bought him a brand new all-in-one computers.
even hardware is fast with Intel H110 chipset, but problem for him is WinXP is familiar and comply with all Stock apps, but Win10 can not comply well with such kind of old designed SW .
since no spare PCI-E extendable ports, only way is find a good xhci driver to enable exist USB, even it is USB2 is good enough.

I guess the ASMedia/VIA/NEC controller hardware registers address and many controller command are different from Intel's.
so no possible to modded the exist driver.

such info driver developer need are documented here:

Unfortunately, the driver for WinXP has not been developed and will no longer be developed.
Forget about this system. Use Win 7 and never.
