Just for update the versions in header, Intel Toolbox is now 3.1.8, and Samsung Magician is 4.2.1.
Thanks for the info. The start post has been updated.

As ANVILPRO RC6 is in the list , AS SSD 1.7.4739.38088 should be there, what do you think about ?

Anvil's Storage Utilities are not listed as a benchmark tool, but as a tool, which is able to clean an SSD by triggering TRIM. AFAIK none of the other SSD benchmark tools have this option.

After fiddling around with Windows updates and running a lot of test the system stabilized from the migration wo having to do a clean install. The Samsung 4.2.1 Rapid optimizer in Magician is running at sequential Read = 914 and Sequential Write = 937, which is Raid 0 speed from a single SSD, simply Brilliant. A+

That must be a Samsung 840 EVO SSD. Am I right?

Impossible score for one ssd; you're benchmarking cache-memory, not the ssd itself.

Thanks VERY much for the link to the Samsung Tool.
I had an older version and it refused to load on Win8.

Fernando,
For 840 PRO seems also RAPID mode is available only for ONE SSD in the PC in AHCI mode.
So, warning for multiple SSDs system.
There are also some limitation on driver iRST driver version documented in Installation Guide V 4.3.
RAPID mode does not available for RAID mode.
Do you think it will be one day ?

@ 100PIER:
Thanks for your additional remarks.
As soon as I have tested the RAPID mode with one of my Samsung 840 PRO SSDs, I will report about my experience here.

I don't know that, but I doubt, that SSDs will be supported, which are members of a RAID array.

Yes, he just has released v1.1.0 (look >here<).
I have already updated the start post.

#27 RE: Recommended SSD Tools by 100PIER 19.01.2014 13:25

Fernando,

1) CORSAIR SSD Tool:
I confirm the CORSAIR SSD Toolbox V1.1 has the TRIM (optimize) function working for SATA AHCI mode .
BUT, if the SSD structure is GPT (instead of MBR) this function does not work and report an "OS handling error".
I have not tested the 'Optimize' for a RAID 0 structure.

2) Acronis 2014 backup media (CD or USB) allows in Tools menus the "SSD Maintenance" i.e. an Optimize function for any SSD what ever the structure is (MBR or GPT) Under SATA AHCI mode.

Here Sir, is my small contribution to the community: It is a 1 click manual Windows Trim Command via .bat file that enables, disables & wipes/trims every form of SSD within Windows "Raid" included. I have attached a download url from my server for your review.

#29 RE: Recommended SSD Tools by saglamtimur 01.04.2014 11:19

First off all thanks for the tool. I would like to give some information about this tool, because some user may misunderstand its functionality.
This tool uses "fsutil behavior set disabledeletenotify" to enable/disable TRIM functionality, which is a OS level setting. If you disable, means that the filesystem will not send Trim commands down the storage stack and vice versa. The filesystem doesn't actually know whether this command will be supported or not at a lower level and if your controller doe not support TRIM, enabling with this command will do nothing.

Just FYI.
