Hi guys... I'm struggling to force my Rampage IV Extreme to boot from Samsung 960 EVO. I have read the guide and "successfully" uploaded new bios, but my motherboard refuses to see the device. I'm attaching my "cap" file. Please let me know if this "looks" ok?

Just to make sure I didn't messed up anything. Drive is visible for windows installer (it says it can't be installed on it, since it can't boot). The drive itself is located on Asus Hyper M.2 x4 Mini Card PCI Card. The motherboard can't see the disk on its own.

P.S. Is there any way to speed up bios-update via usb stick. It takes like ~2h :D

1. Fast Boot -> DISABLED
2. Secure Boot State -> DISABLED
3. Launch CMS -> ENABLED (like on 3rd screenshot)

At the end I get info that it can't boot from that device. Any ideas what to do/what to try? :P

1. I have downloaded latest 4902 Bios from Asus site and updated it with missing NVME module as in your guide
2. I have installed bios using Asus FlashBack... it takes up to 2h each time I try this method, but at the end it works
3. Then I tried installing Windows 10 x64 Pro... since I've got a USB disk ("was born this way) it "boots" itself right away with no issues
4. I've managed to set all partitions. Installer started, copied all files to a hard-drive and did a restart at the end
5. ... but files copied to the SSD didn't kick in since board can't see the drive
6. This error appears each time I boot my PC (no other drives are "in").

Now, there are couple strange things... which I'm not really sure of..
1. Upgrading BIOS via Asus FlashBack takes like 2 hours... is that normal?? I can't upload BIOS via inbuilt tool in UEFI, because of some "security validation error"... (I guess that's why I'm forced to do it via "FlashBack")
2. There are 2 "bioses" in R4E. Whenever I use FlashBack I need to switch to the "other" one... like if it had been replacing only secondary bios.
3. SSD is not visible in the UEFI/Boot section... however I still get this error I've attached on my previous screenshot

Yes, it's 16GB USB 2.0 Pendrive formatted for FAT32. I've tried using USB 3.0 .... results were the same.

Is there any other way to install modified BIOS?

It worked!! Success!!! I took 3rd USB drive and it flashed new bios in 2 minutes. Sorry for confusion :)

Oh... and thank you for your time. I'm pretty sure you have much better things to do in Saturday then read some post from a newbie like me xD

I finally got my 960 Pro installed (via a very nice kryoM.2 evo adapter). Can someone have a look at my benchmark scores? Stock Samsung SSD NVMe driver v2.2. Old 1B6Q firmware. Can't do anymore benchmarking now since i have to leave for a few days. :'(

But i think that something is wrong .. SMART won't be read and Anvil doesn't show any name...

Regarding benchmarks: seems that a 960 Evo would also have done the job :D
