After a set of in depth tests, I confirm that ASMEDIA USB 3.x v1.16.44.1 WHQL 64-bit does not work on ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe.
Installation does get no errors, however the four ASMEDIA USB 3.0 ports does remain 'dummy', none of my USB 3.x devices are detected.
I confirm that v1.16.41.3 does work perfectly on the same hardware.
Definitively I forget v1.16.44.1 and does stay with v1.16.41.3 on all my ASUS PCs.

ASUS Sabertooth X99/USB 3.1, W10 x64 21H2 NVMe i750, BIOS v4101, CPU Intel i7 5930K, 32GB DDR4, Asus GTX 1660TI 6GB DDR6
ASUS PRIME Z390M-Plus W11 x64 21H2 22000.194 NVMe 970 , BIOS v3004, 16GB DDR4, CPUs: Intel i3-8100 (4 cores) +UHD 630, i5-9400F (6 cores) +GTX 980.

Hi all! I'm new in the forum and maybe i need some help.
I have a Asrock B75M-DGS and i have problem with Usb 3.0 that works very bad.As i know Intel doesn't want to make new driver for Windows 10 then I've tried to install the modded driver for Intel Chipset by Fernando but all my Usb 3.0 port doesn't work.
I've tried to find some info about the controller on the Asrock site but there's not infos about that.

What can i proceed?

If the hardware (here: USB 3.0 Controller) doesn't work correctly, the best driver will not be able to solve this hardware problem.
When I modify a driver package, I do not modify the driver itself (= *.SYS file), but just the related simple text file (= *.INF) to make the driver usable with other device models or/and Operating Systems.

Which additional informations do you need? You can see a lot of them by running the Device Manager, doing a right click onto the USB 3.0 Controller and choosing the options "Properties" > "Details" > "Property". If you want to know more, I recommend to ask the ASRock Support.

Thanks for the reply Fernando.
As i know there's a lot of people with problems at Usb 3.0 ports with Chipset Intel Series 7 C216 (that seems to be chipset i have) and Windows 10. There no official Intel release for this Chipset for Windows 10 as i can saw on Windows and Intel forum.
In the Device info i've seen (with the ID driver) that this MoBo have the Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver that's why i've tried your modified driver but with no luck (the drivers works but when i try to insert any pen drive on the usb 3 front/rear nothing happen).
I've contacted the Asrock support and i hope they give me some good news, but i'm in doubt because the MoBo is very old!

new: "pure" ASMedia USB 3.0+3.1 Drivers v1.16.45.1 WHQL dated 03/01/2017 (with 32/64bit DPInst files for an easy installation)
new: ASMedia USB 3.0+3.1 Drivers & Software Set v1.16.45.1 WHQL dated 03/08/2017

Thanks to Station-Drivers for the source package and to Pete12 for the info.
Meanwhile I have installed the "pure" ASMedia USB 3.0/3.1 drivers onto my Z170 chipset system running Win10 x64 v1703 by using the DPInst method. Everything seems to be working fine here.

Test and hopefully enjoy it!

Just made some severely testing of this new USB 3.1-driver , transmitted an OS-backup of 11,4GB from internal HDD to external HDD , with USB3.1, it took me 74sec. with average speed of 116MB/sec.
I did not encounter improvements , but its certainly ok-driver !
I wonder if I can make transfer-speed faster then 116MB/sec................

ASMedia USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers v1.16.45.1 WHQL will not work on ASUS P9X79 series board.
Do not install this driver - it will not recognize your USB devices!

The last working version for my ASUS motherbard is 1.16.41.3.

My device ID: PCI\VEN_1B21&DEV_1040&CC_0C03

I don't know why the new drivers doesn't work, because this is the same hardware (maybe different firmware).

According to ASMedia this driver should work on Win10 , at least its working fine on my ASUS Z97-K.............

Which OS are you running?
How did you install the ASMedia drivers v1.16.45.1?
Are you sure, that you have installed the drivers, which are matching your OS?

Here is a CDM score compare between ASMedia USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers v1.16.45.1 WHQL and Intel USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers v5.0.1.38 on ASUS Sabertooth X99 machine using for the test a USB3.0 key (Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0 64GB).

I am very happy and surprise to the excellent performances from ASMedia new driver version !
I have done multiple tests and I do confirm this fact: ASMedia USB driver is better. (for info the previous ASMedia driver v1.16.44.1 did not worked (no USB key detection)).
ASMEDIA USB 3.1 port:

INTEL USB 3.0 port:

I'm running Windows 10 x64 (1703) 15063.14 and I used the official ASMedia USB 3.0/3.1 (v1.16.45.1) driver installer.
I can confirm that the driver was installed (without errors but USB devices were not detected).

Device Manager:
- 2x ASMedia USB3.0 eXtensible Host Controller
- 2x ASMedia USB Root Hub
- Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub

I've used the latest driver v1.16.45.1 for the above devices.

This is clean system, but I have the same problem with driver:

1.16.44.1 - no USB device detected
1.16.43.1 - no USB device detected
1.16.42.1 - no USB device detected / device error
1.16.41.3 - works fine
1.16.38.1 - works fine

The method I used to install ASMedia USB3.0 v1.16.45.1 was the Software Package.
I have observed that W10 Update did an attempt to do an extra additional modification of ASMedia driver which were just installed:

I don't understand this conflict beetween W10 (v1607 14393.969) & ASMedia driver.
I observed with 1.16.41.3 none conflict.
