For Intel 4 series I know from personal experience that you can raise the dedicated vRAM to 128MB (or 196MB, don't remember) from the default 64MB. You need to install a modded driver though and to alter the .inf installation file beforehand. In turn that will require to disable Driver Signature Enforcement on x64 systems before installing the driver for the fist time. Search google on how to raise the dedicated vRAM by modifying the .inf installation file as I haven't done it in a long time and don't remember anymore.

BIOS is irrelevant for mobile systems ad vRAM settings. I know it's integrated, this has nothing to do with that. You can modify and install Intel graphics drivers that increase the vRAM size. A google search should help you more as I don't remember the specifics of it anymore.

One pre-modified Intel driver that amongst others increases the vRAM is the Royal BNA which can be found here:

3.1.1.86 for x86 (32-bit systems)
3.1.1.64 for x64 (64-bit systems)

Note: Generally, keep in mind that these graphics cards use UMA memory which basically means sharing system RAM. So the more vRAM the gpu has the less the system. Example, if now you have ~1.92GB of RAM with 64MB being gpu dedicated, with a 192MB vRAM you will have around 1.8GB RAM available.

Well you may need to completely remove the old Intel driver before proceeding with the Royal BNA one. Try installing Royal BNA using the Have Disk Method. If it restores the old driver upon reboot then it's Windows doing that on purpose because of not proper driver signature.

First, uninstall from Control Panel > Programs the Intel driver. Then use DDU which is an excellent tool to properly uninstall older graphics card drivers. You only need to select the Intel one. It also has an option by default to disable Windows automatic driver installation/fallback.

That's more true for RST rather that gpu drivers. In my personal experience the Intel drivers will be uninstalled normally that way and the default MS ones from Windows update will be download and used.

Either way, use DDU - it's marvelous tool for clean gpu driver reinstallations (Intel, Nvidia, AMD). And that option to disable automatic driver reinstallation from Windows update is a must.
