I'm trying to get this set up so i have bios level remote access to the system.

From what i've read, hitting ctrl + P at the Dell logo should put me into the ME menu.. but it doesn't..

There's no AMT or vPro options in the Bios.

I found an article that explained that it may have been disabled when the system was first set up, and my only option would be to replace the main board..

Any suggestions on how i can get around this?

Set the SERVICE jumper on the motherboard (consult the manual), download Intel Management Engine: Drivers, Firmware & System Tools > Intel ME System Tools v8, run Flash Programming Tool with command "fptw64 -d spi.bin", compress and attach/link to the generated spi.bin file.

Hey, Here's the SPI.bin as requested..

I've been reading through the IME documentation and i figure i potentially need to clean this bin file, turn on AMT and then reflash it.. but i just can't get my head around how exactly i do that.

I ran ME Analyzer on it and rebuilt using the rgn file.. but i'm really confused what to do next.. my system tools doesn't have a tool called iAMTNVM ... For fear of screwing this system up.. i could really do with some help :)

Make sure the jumper is set, download the attachment and run Flash Programming Tool with parameter "fptw64 -f spi_fix.bin". Shut down the system and set the jumper back to its default location. Boot and run "fptw64 -greset". After the forced reboot, you should have AMT enabled.

That's ok, you can do it manually. After the re-flash, shut down the system and make sure the jumper is set to its default position. Then remove all power (AC + any battery backup) for 1 minute and press the power button a few times in between. Then reconnect all power and boot the system. AMT should be operational.

by backup battery do you mean the cmos battery?

Thank you for the advice.. i've tried it again and unfortunately i'm not seeing any AMT settings in the BIOS... am I missing something here?

It's not in the BIOS, AMT is configured via MEBx (CTRL + P) after the system POSTS before the OS boots. You can check if you have AMT available by MEInfo -verbose.
