Thank you for your hard work !!

Regarding your guide on post # 29, for this particular motherboard (MSI H81M-P33), after step 4 i think it will be better to install H81 chipset driver for XP (http://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers...s/h81-d3/107309) first before updating with your modded rst file. Reason being is that there are two PRIMARY IDE Controller listed and not sure which one is the 8C00.

I have no experience in other H81 boards, so i can only elaborate on what i have experienced with this motherboard. Might be different on other boards tho. Cheers.

Yes, you are right, but this only happens, if the user has ignored my advice No 1 (to unplug all drives except the system drive).
Furthermore there is another way to find out the correct "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller" with the DeviceID DEV_8C00:
1. Right click onto the Controllers, which are listed within the "IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers" section of the Device Manager.
2. Choose the options "Properties" > "Details" > "Property" > "HardwareIDs".

You can try to use a drivers download software to scan your computer, and it will helps you identify your hardware, and then recommend you the right driver for your system. So I think this way maybe more easier for you.

DriverDR is a software that can helps to auto-detect computer hardware information, find drivers problem and helps to download drivers.

Such Software may identify the current system and the suitable drivers, but this method doesn't work for users, who are searching for a driver, which is usable with another Operating System.

This worked flawlessly on my Intel H81 chipset motherboard... I was wondering if there's a solution for the newer H110 chipset so that I can run the same Win XP 32bit AHCI on it.. I believe the video portion is the hardest part to be resolved... Thanks so much for your help!

You can use the same driver, but have to choose the support of the on-board Intel H110 SATA AHCI Controller resp. of its DeviceID.

DEV_8C00 is the DeviceID of an Intel 8-Series Chipset SATA IDE Controller, which uses the generic MS IDE driver and is not supported by any Intel RST driver. If you want to use an Intel RST driver, you have to set the Intel SATA Controller within the BIOS to "AHCI" or "RAID". In both cases the HardwareIDs will be changed.

tryed this today on my motherboard, made an install disc of windows xp sp32 with your v11.2.0.1006 Drivers maked sure it's H81 chipset and it is... after a hours of serching a solution i thought i finally found it and it's still did't work ...
my system: MB: ga-h81m-s1 rev. 2.1 , cpu intel i5 4gen, 8gb ram, 2 sata hdd 1tb, 500gb os:win xp pro 32bit

please help i'm deeply frustrating after days and hours of trying to get my xp to achi so i could run win 7 and xp on same pc without playing with it..

The Sub-Forum "Specific: Intel AHCI/RAID Drivers" has only been designed for modern Windows Operating Systems. So you should better look into >this< Sub-Forum for a solution. >Here< is my guide about how to get XP installed in AHCI mode.

Hey Fernando thank you for your fast answer!
i looked back at page one and found out i missed one step of the installation process which was to set the installation to achi before the installing. personly would't realize i sould do that because logiclly all the files in the one disc you would like to think windows will actully know how to interact and use them but then you realize it's windows xp

so thank you so much you are the man!
it's finally works the xp is on the achi
But would you recommend me to use a different package version anyways?
