@desty Ok, thanks for your reply, your informations clarify for me that it's important to do my own test's for my own experiences. Not that I think you are a N00b, but it's the best way to fail and teach myself on this topic with my own hardware, in the past I have learned that even non-essential appearing things can be a big thing.
Two suggestions:
Flash UEFI version 3603 and to try an installation with an original SP1 ISO and an optical drive and PS/2 peripherals.

@PatrickK Thanks I've now changed BIOS to version 3603. The problem isn't getting win7 installed, I've tried pro, pro sp1, home and enterprise sp1, the problem is getting all the devices working. I've got no wifi or ethernet and only some usb devices will work.
Some of the drivers from "X570_149C_Drivers_B2.zip" and some of the AMD driver utilities worked somewhat but never fully.
It's frustrating how nvme is working perfectly but an older stadard like USB is apparently impossible to get working.
I had hoped one of your ISOs might be helpful in this regard.

@desty What I like to do is to google hardware-id's to look for drivers. And, of course, another idea is to use a PCIe card.

Maybe it's time for a change of tactics, is there a ryzen 5600x compatible mobo that is known to be win 7 friendly? This driver wasteland is getting really tiresome.

I'm afraid your gonna have to learn to live with the driver wasteland when it comes to windows 7 on ryzen.

@infuscomus yeah but apparently not all wastelands are equal. The ASUS x570-plus seems to be particularly stubborn when it comes to usb drivers. USB solutions that work on other boards don't work for the asus I'm getting really sick of it tbh. AFAIK nobody anywhere has gotten the wifi adapter to work on win7 either.

hi, all, updating progress: downloaded the Acpi.sys file (thank you @bloodhand and @canonkong), unpacked boot.wim and install.wim using 7zip, copied over mod acpi.sys to all directories where original acpi.sys was present. Repacked boot.wim and install.wim using DISM with following commands:
D:\Modified WIM files\Install.wim>Dism /Capture-Image /ImageFile:d:\install.wim /CaptureDir:"D:\Modified WIM files\Install.wim" /Name:install

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.18362.1139

Saving image

I copied over the .wim files back to sources folder. However NTLite doesn't load the boot.wim file. The install.wim file loads fine....however when I double click boot.wim, in NTLite, the error is "Unsupported Image architecture. Report back with preset used if any".

Any thoughts on what I can do to make the boot.wim pack properly using DISM?

instead of extracting the WIM images with 7zip you should instead use DISM to mount the image to a folder for editing.

Looks like AMD will release Zen 3+ and x570s in late 2021.

Wondering if Canonkong's modded drivers will work with these new CPUs and motherboards ....

Hi @infuscomus @spacedrone808 Update: Got to the Windows 7 installation splash screen. But keyboard and mouse aren't working at all. @FlyToha : request your inputs as I believe you installed also on MSI TRX40 Pro 10G. I did integrate @canonkong's drivers into both the install and boot images, all indexes. Retained only Win 7 professional in the install.wim.

**EDIT: keyboard works before the splash screen, I disabled driver signing using F8***

Hope @FlyToha can advise how the USB drivers got to work on his MB (similar to mine, MSI TRX40)....@infuscomus will try the USB3 driver you mentioned. I'm a little wary of patched KMDF, if it will result in other instabilities down the road. But thank you for your note.
