That's the thing: it's unavailable outside of some Chinese sekrit klub. Unless canonkong wants to be really generous and give it out to the general public it seems i'm stuck on AGESA 1006.

Based. Do I just drop it into System32 and then upgrade to AGESA 1.1.0.0?

And just as proof, here's a 3950X running perfectly on a existing Win7 Enterprise install that used a Ryzen 2600:

Well that seems to have broken my entire Windows install, I tried replacing acpi.sys in every folder I came across. Restored a vanilla acpi.sys in all four folders, flashed the AGESA 1006 BIOS, and now i'm back. What folders should I put in acpi.sys in?

EDIT: Something strange.. I get a 0x07b BSOD when using the modded acpi.sys in system32/drivers?

I think you might need to integrate acpi.sys into a windows7 ISO and do a fresh install.

do you have a signed version of your acpi.sys?

i'm not really sure, you can try updating the microsoft acpi-compliant system driver but otherwise you have to reinstall again.

I haven't received my 5900X yet, I ordered on the 20th November, others received it a few days later but I missed out. I should get it in the next few weeks. I'm mainly just in the planning stage. I do have a 3700X and three AM4 motherboards.. so I will probably try that first. And then go on to the 5900X. I am confident I can get the 3700X to work with X370 and X470.. or at least.. I think there is a good chance. I am not very confident about the B550 Taichi though, but I will share any experiences that I have here.
