As for the advanced edit stuff at post one here, that may or may not apply. If it's Aptio V BIOS, then yes, it would apply, but you may need more/less edits than what I showed here for the AMITSE/SetupData edits, not all are same.
If it's Aptio IV, then this doesn't apply, and other methods are used. Same for Pre-Aptio IV (Old BIOS8 type, that only opens with MMTool 3.xx or AMIBCP 3.xx), different for those as well.

Since you do not have a flash programmer, it may be best for me to edit your BIOS then But you can certainly go ahead with the tutorial and see how you progress, then I can check once you are done, if you think you got it done without any issue.

You would not use any of the files in this guide! Sorry, I thought you were looking at the advanced tutorial at the end (in spoiler), this whole time I thought you had looked at that too when you mentioned unlocking yourself.
The part not in spoiler only applies to models listed, those are the only ones that have pre-modified files attached.

@shtooka - If you are using XMG GK5CN6Z BIOS then you can only use that models files from the guide (If it exists). I just checked, and your model BIOS is not in the list, only XMG NEO 15 M18 - XNE15M18 - GK5CN6X
However GK5CN6X << That X may mean OK for GK5CN6Z I do not know. If you want to be 100% sure, you have to flash XMG NEO 15 M18 - XNE15M18 - GK5CN6X BIOS first, then the guide will directly apply to your BIOS

Be careful, usually if the model name does not match yours, then you can't use the stock or mod BIOS, since graphics cards differ between these models.
Search in google and see if any GK5CN6Z users mention using GK5CN6X BIOS, if not I would not try it unless you have programmer, you may end up with no dsiplay output (ie black screen and no way to recover without blind flash or flash programmer)
Ideally, I'd tell you to use one of these two BIOS from first post, since they match your original model name GK5CN6Z
Mechrevo - GK5CN6Z >> BIOS_N.1.16
OverPowered - GK5CN6Z >> BIOS_N.1.05

Or, if you want, I can unlock the XMG BIOS you are using, I don't think it's the one I've already posted in the guide/files at post #1
Actually, I just checked, that is the exact BIOS I unlocked already, so if that stock BIOS works for you, then the mod BIOS should as well, provided you applied the mods correctly and flashed it in.
Make sure you replace all three modules (As-Is in this case)

1. - Yes, you could flash back and forth, but there is no need to do that, and any time you flash BIOS you risk bricking BIOS.
Even with stock BIOS, and stock flash method, any/all BIOS flash risk brick, it's rare, but it happens, so ideally only flash when there is a reason
If you are concerned there is so many settings, and want to go back to stock for that reason, close your eyes, or quit looking deep in there, then that feeling will go away

2. Yes, but I'm not sure what that limit is, it may say in the specs for your BIOS chip if you look up it's ID and get the PDF. Yes, you are correct, probably you would never reach it anyway, but there is a limit, they do wear out.
3. Yes, and any time you flash BIOS you should load optimal defaults right after you flash, save and exit, reboot back to BIOS to then make any changes you want before you boot to windows

They are lazy, and don't want to deal with emails, hopefully they'll make it live soon!
No, just ask them for the latest BIOS-EC-FW Update package, they know what it is you want and need

*** WARNING - To ANYONE with laptop and unlocked BIOS!!!! ***
DO NOT try to enable this graphics card or disable that card, switch cards etc. Otherwise you will end up with no display output (ie black screen) and no way to recover except by blind flash or with flash programmer.
You can change graphics related settings, like changing memory sizes, or core speeds etc, just don't try to disable one card or change which is main etc.

@Stratos - What is the brand of that system, full brand, model name etc. And, do you have the stock BIOS/EC FW package with the BIOS install tool etc?
Can you write back BIOS region with FPTw without error? If you did not add it already, please add one image in there that shows your choices on "Lighting Effects" in the Advanced page, so I can see which set of those options you have

This is the exact model. Unfortunately I do not have the original bios files/tools.

I guess your only option is to bug them via email if you want BIOS update, or flash in one of the other models (Like EVOO or XMG etc) that match >> 2070 + GK5CQ7Z << If you ever do that, make sure you update EC and BIOS at same time
