@Echidna - I'm confused, why don't you use the tool you mentioned to change the settings you mentioned?

Hi Lost_N_Bios,

I can't change that setting using the Intel Aptio V Integrator Tools" "iSetupCfg" because that option doesn't show up in the bios or in the editable options that show up using the tool.. The tool only allows changes to options that already exist in the bios. Just some of them are normally hidden at the boot screen bios. I'm thinking that there may be a further option that has been buried and won't show up since newer security concerns with Thunderbolt.
The options available to change for thunderbolt, shown below, don't include "no Security" or legacy boot, which should be the same thing. I've tried adding in an extra option but it wouldn't accept it.

Other user asked me about that model here too, but I'm not sure what "earlier" posts he was referring to, so I can't be sure if we modified this one yet or not

Not sure of the Tongfang model. All I have found out is that it is Tongfang QC7 (LAPQC71A) The LAPQC71A being the Intel Whitebook number. I have been trying to find out more. It's also the same as Schenker XMG FUSION 15 (ID: XFU15L19). There are some other models the same except for a more powerful graphics card, being the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Qunstead of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mobile. Sometimes it's just an option in the same model but has a different bios.
Working on the other things now.

Thanks, I have BIOS for that XMG fusion model already too, and menu edits marked out, but no user folder or mod etc. So maybe there is some issue, let me see if I can find user posts for that model and see what happened.
Never mind, only mention of that model is from the other users post I linked above. He has CH341A though, so lets see what we can do on his system before we do any flashing here, Intel Boot Guard may be enabled here (Still do all above stuff though)

I've included the biosreg.bin, the error log, the output from SCEWIN as a text file and the output from MEinfoWin as txt.

I noticed that the output from SCEWIN contained all the Thunderbolt options that I wanted to change and potentially more. I wasn't sure if it was possible to edit it with that tool, which would obviously save a lot of mucking around? At least it shows those options are there just not showing up with the Intel Aptio Integrator tool.

I've tried adding/editing the options that showed up in the output of SCEWIN isong the Intel Aptio tool iSetupCfg but it gives an error "incorrect syntax" "Token not found at line 10" corresponding to the name string of the item I wanted to change. In this case it was changing the Thunderbolt a boot option.
So I'm guessing all the items that show up in the SCEWIN output are locked or hidden from iSetupCfg

Ok sorry I missed the bit about using all versions of SCEWIN, but I can do that now. I think there are only a few things I would want to change. That would be the Thunderbolt security any possibly anything to do with turbo boost. If thee is anyway do reduce the problems caused by the Nvidia card interupting the audio drivers that would be a bonus to.

looks like none of the other SceWin outputs worked except for 5.03.1107 64bit. I've attached all the output errors as text and the NVRAM.

I think I would be totally happy just to be able to change some of the things shown in the SceWin output. Probably safer for me not to have everything unlocked though it would be easier if those items relating to Thunderbolt were changeable from the bios boot up screen.

@Echidna - Since you didn't do as I mentioned, what all versions of SCEWin worked here, only the one you sent output from or did others work as well?

SCEWin is used similar to using the other tool, but you need to use it to write back using SCEWin >> SCEWIN /i /s nvram.txt
But, ONLY make a change and flash back if you understand how to make the changes, if not, ask and I will show you

Measured Boot AND verified Boot are enabled at the FPF in PCH chipset, this cannot be changed without replacing the chipset. Any change to Boot Guard covered areas in the BIOS = instant brick. So there can be no "Menu" modifications on this model, thanks to Intel
We can however, directly change any setting you see in SCEWin output, and or IFR generated from setup module. Once we find working method to make the changes, this is not covered by boot guard so will not = instant brick like a BIOS menu change attempt would.
There is many ways to change the current applied values to any setting, hidden or visible to you in BIOS, we just have to find the method that works here then we can change any setting.

BIOS Menu edit is not possible here due to Boot Guard. Did you test write back with changes you wanted, using SCEWin? I gave the command to do so above in case you missed it
Go ahead and use 5.03.1111 created file and that version exe to write it back too.

DO NOT try to enable this graphics card or disable that card, switch cards etc. Otherwise you will end up with no display output (ie black screen) and no way to recover except by blind flash or with flash programmer.
You can change graphics related settings, like changing memory sizes, or core speeds etc, just don't try to disable one card or change which is main etc.
Additionally, be very careful when trying to undervolt CPU, you can leave BIOS unbootable due to CPU voltage too low (Sometimes even 0.05 is too much)
