@_haru - do you know why B0 is not working, do you think block or some incompatibility?

IIRC it id'd as GenuineIntel 0000 right? so not a true QS, but the retail stepping.

@Lost_N_BIOS I don't think it's a ucode issue, but a ME issue.

I checked his video and you can see it in the video he is using a QS 28 core HO stepping chip. So although an intel confidential, not a ES.

@_haru thanks for your thoughts. I've previously switched out exact ME version and exact settings from a known working with B0 supermicro board, no luck, so I think there must be some block
I made two changes at CPUPolicyDXE module in test BIOS at #149, both where instances where it compared something with the 5065x CPU mask. Hopefully someone can test that with B0 50654 or 50652

I will give this a shot this evening.

I also have a 4110 in the post so will be able to do some comparison with a running machine if required.

No joy with this, but my system does operate with the 4110 so no hardware issues at play here.

The machine restarted a good 5 times before first POST with the 4110, presumably updating other things each time. Perhaps this is one of those situations where you must have a working CPU to be able to flash the correct BIOS for the other CPU.

I believe it was - 50652h QL29 chip that he tried.

Sorry, been a busy few days. Yes they are QL29 chips, I will try and dig up the listing for some more details later.

Ebay listing are not always correct or show exactly what you get, so best to check the CPU in your possession to confirm. Most of the B0's, or at least many mentioned here, work fine on several Supermicro boards with stock BIOS, as noted through this thread.
Ask that seller, what exact microcode revision he knows that works. He lists Supermicro boards as compatible, except that one model needs a ucode patch. It's been confirmed here, for some B0's (Unsure which) that 50654 Rev 200004D works (Tested on SuperMicro early in this thread, ported to SAGE board without luck)
