Actually, there is also fix for sync all cores (for M8I). You can't choose ratio for 4,5,6 cores individually, in BIOS, but if you choose "Sync All Cores", all cores will be synced now. It will work from one up to eight cores. One byte patch in module C654E340-2DB5-4896-BBC4-6EA45CFEB434. Here is a link to patched (16 cpu Coffee Lake compatible) M8I (v3801) BIOS capsule. Use Flashback method. Presence of Coffee Lake compatible BIOS (or at least ME region) is required - Flashback will not flash ME region.

@aleban if you did everything right as mothaj explained, you should end with this. Take note of ME Version 0.0.0.0. If you can still read the Version Number something went wrong and you don´t need to try coffee lake cpu.

Tonight then I try with the update as explained in the second post here ([GUIDE] Coffee Lake CPUs on Skylake and Kaby Lake motherboards ).
At that point I see if Intel ME is correct.
Hoping not to destroy something.

@oldirdey I see that your cpuz shows the graphic interface as pci-express only as well. I wonder why this is. I remember comparing the xml files pre/post z370 sku change a while back and don't recall anything extraordinary. Seems to be purely cosmetic though.

Make sure you save your original BIOS file (read image using SPI) so you don't loose your board specific information (serial number, MAC address). Use FD44Editor to copy this information to new BIOS before flashing via SPI.

Hi, I met a problem during the process...there's 2 section-dsl files(out of all)I could't compile with iasl tool...even I changed nothing of the dsl file..

And I changed different revisons of the tool for that, still couldn't work.

Can you help me check how the error comes?

I don't know what's wrong there, but changing (only first?) Zero to 0 works:

@aleban then - to state the obvious - you should get one, CH341A costs less than 5 eur.

It may be possible to execute complete bios chip flash using low level tools such as ftpw or afudos but this is just asking for trouble since essentially you have just one go at this with no way to recover if things go wrong (as they often do when doing this kind of experimental work).

Thanks guys but it's too much for me. In comparison, delid and hackintosh that I perform are very simple compared to this. I surrender to Intel.
