@Rob.vicz I have no idea, never looked at a t320, but as a "hint" the idrac uart port should be near the SH_4A cpu chip that runs the idrac code. So if you can find the SH_4A you have a better chance of locating the other stuff. This is marked SH77572, about 1" square BGA package, usually has a board white silk screen next to it "iDrac".

I ran into the same issue with my dell T620. I found similair EMMC pads, and the ground pins also where in similair positions:

I have two motherboards, one died with an issue on the power rail so I soldered wires to that one to no avail. Then I made a pogo pin array, as I did not trust my soldering:

I am sure this one worked, but to no avail aswell....

I do have connectors called BMC Jtag, though I have no clue which one it points too:

@Don_prince I can't see much in your photos, they are too low resolution, "BMC UART" is mostly likely the correct one

I decided not to solder and just use an elastic band to apply pressure to the pins lol and a binder clip to hold the USB->UART cable in place, here's a closeup:

Where did you get your pogo pin thing? I could 3d print another one, but mine get rather bulky due to the resolution of the printer

Only 3 of the 4 need to be connected, yes. Not sure which one is RX/TX, I usually experiment swapping back and forth until something appears on screen

Pretty stumped on the issue of bypassing checksum/verification when trying to boot from SD card. Followed all the steps above but I'm still getting the "FAIL" message regarding "exp" not equal to "rec":

If I'm understanding correctly, since "rec" checksum differs from "exp" checksum, it is refusing to load the image from SD card, and I am forever stuck in uboot

I also tried the "FWN" workaround, setting the 2nd value to be whatever comes up in "rec", but it doesn't work because the value of "rec" changes every single boot

try these:
tftpboot firmimg.d7
fwu mmc sd
fwu check 0x81000000
fwu update 0x81000000
saveenv
go 0x81000000 #this is important !

then you should have something in your /dev/mmcblk0p2
edit it in a linux, repalce 'mmcblk0 ' to 'mmcblk1' in some scripts

put the sd card back into your r720

then run these:
set fwummc sd
bootm

you may need to reboot several times using 'bootm' command

unfortunately still no luck -- followed all the steps and this is what I see on the last command:
