Yeah 20F32 is different to 200F32.

You maybe also read in another thread, that AMD sometimes uses a generic MC for a group/family of CPUs.
So I believe MC 20F10 should do the job.

I'm trying to update the microcode in the BIOS for the motherboard GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 rev. 1. I use the BIOS version 8F.
Collected a new NCPUCODE.BIN in HxD.


Using CBROM32 1.96 updated the nc_cpucode in BIOS.
Reference to the modified BIOS:

For CPU with CPUID 00100FA0, a new microcode is used. For CPU with CPUID 00600F20 uses microcode ver. 0600081C.
In the BIOS, the microcodes are stored in some area other than NCPUCODE.BIN.


CBROM32 /D


Extracted all the modules from the BIOS by CBROM32.
MC Extractor did not find any microcodes except in the file NCPUCODE.BIN.

How do I update the microcode for a processor with a CPUID 00600F20?

As I understood at the address 0x20A600 is OrochiPI. CBROM32 does not process OrochiPI,сorrectly?

@MiesMosel is the best person I've seen with modifying AMD Microcodes, hopefully he can help when he has some time. Often, microcode is stored in "Hole" modules in some AMD, which are only shown in certain CBROM versions, but I have not looked at the BIOS you mentioned, will check if Miesmosel doesn't
I checked with all cbrom and cannot find any "Hole" regions in this BIOS, hopefully Miesmosel can help you

Holes - I only know from AMI BIOS, but this is Award/Phoenix Non-UEFI BIOS.
This BIOS doubles the MCs & maybe binds it near together with AGESA - I don't know exactly!
