Thank you for XP GUIDE, but how to install Windows Vista x64 on Kaby Lake ASUS B250? I get message "A required CD/DVD device driver is missing".
Windows 7 AHCI drivers doesn't work.

I have tried both F6 / USB floppy and NLITE bootable images on CDR with the drivers installed and I can't get XP to run. I have both XP 64 SP2 and XP 32 SP3. Using the "Universal 64 bit" drivers with XP 64 and "Universal 32 bit" with XP 32, either one, SETUP goes through the process of partitioning and formatting the target drive, copying files, and it all looks fine until the post-setup reboot, where I get a "missing or corrupted HAL.DLL" error or a "NTOSKRNL.EXE is missing or corrupt" error.

The hardware is an X99 motherboard with a socket 2011 v3. cpu, and AHCI mode SATA. The SATA controller is an Intel (VEN-8086) which is DEV_8D02.

Are "Universal 64 bit" drivers [ https://mega.nz/#!1QckVRyC!NKse9ugRPpmE-...b4ztHM05of2G-ks ]with XP 64 and "Universal 32 bit" [ https://mega.nz/#!oVdGxIKT!UL1M1Gu4kCK7c...JWhYTPIcvvKWif8 ] with XP 32 the correct driver packages to be using in my NLITE- created bootable CDROMs?

Pre-condition: During the nLite driver integration procedure you should choose just the support of your specific on-board Intel SATA AHCI Controller (in your case: DEV_8D02) and nothing else.

I created a new bootable CDROM using he image created by nLite, following your procedure, this time incorporating just the DEV_8D02 driver.

When I booted the resulting XP 32 SETUP CDROM, it went through the typical loading screen, then examined the disks in the system. Please note this is a Basic MBR disk, which should be fine for XP 32.

So.... can't install. **Baffled**

for make possible install and launch xp on ssd 256GB i has 2 hdd on board.
on dick C boot record on hdd 1(first installed without ssd because windows setup cannot see ssd) and on disk D XP installed on SSD (second default boot record. windows setup prompt choice for install xpe) and start default with fix 128 memory mode.
work very stable and very fast.

i tried install XP SP3 with Sata drivers from USB flash drive - created through YUMI USB installer - on new Z370 GIGABYTE Z370-Ultra Gaming MB + Asmedia Sata + external Geforce 7600 GPU.

During installation loading i have to press F7- for fallback from ACPI HAL to HAL, after that got without problem to restart and hardware detection, where is phase required to use input device - i tried multiple USB / PS2 mouses and keyboards but nothing is working (in first phase of installation they are working fine, i tried to fiddle with Bios USB settings too).. Work around would be some install automatization tool. I dunno if is problem on my board compatibility side or in YUMI usb installer code. It would be nice test it on other boards, if someone can.

There is also possibility to install XP on other Hardware and just try make it bootable - there are P2P or Dissimilar hardware migration tool, i used Paragon tool successfully lots of times, but not for Z370 case - ACPI HAL is problem and i dunno how edit registry (from other Win instalation or bood USB / CD etc..) to disable it.

You need use "add drivers" button for sata integration(if your Asmedia sata not support old IDE mode) before processing.
Z370's sata probably will work in ahci mode with famous intel ahci 11.2.0.1006 driver, change PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_xxxx&CC_0106 in iaAHCI.inf for yours

Were is exactly advantage of this tool, i read description, but im not wise from it? Is driver detection phase, where i need to select region with not working
mouse and keyboard skipped?

if physical ps2 doesnt work - you have bios incompatbilities/programers's error
in skylake MBs ps2 mouse/keyboard connected to multi-io chip (for example ite it87xx), multi-io chip connected to PCH, so problem is bios.
try disable USB Legacy for testing purpose, but i think you usb devices will stop working in dos/win xp setup, only ps2 can work
also disable fastboot in bios, it is not compatible with legacy OS, when it enabled, it skip init of some devices on MB

- I tried to disable Legacy USB, but after that its not possible boot from USB flashdisk with Windows install - workaround would be maybe create EFI version of YUMI flash, but there could be problem with GPT source media and XP setup..
- But i made progress - extracted Windows SP3 iso which already integrated Sata driver with 7zip, opened folder with nLite, created ISO and add ISO to YUMI..
- Discovered that in later phase of XP setup, after regional settings prompt (automatized), is PS2 devices finally worked.
- I was a bit confused by nlite automatization settings - only fully automated setting did - automatization.
- After reboot im stuck on display settings - once again PS2 device are not working.. After second reboot, im at Windows logo screen but i still dont have any input options..
- safe mode its the same

Sidenotes:
- I also experimented with SetupMgr from cd for automatization - i have created unanttended.txt, but if how to use it and integrated it back to cd.
- also tried Winsetup - to it dont like my partition scheme, i got - invalid partition table or missing bootloader files errors

Is somewhere package of USB drivers for nlite? I have Intel, Asmedia controller on board and i have some external USB3 VIA 805 card too.. For know i tried integrate some random drivers form web, but without success.

It would be more hassle but, in theory i improve unattended install for remote desktop connection, or vnc connection by some silent installer integrated to installation.. but i never did it, if im not wrong remote desktop is disabled by default.
