Ok, the problem was the nvmexpress-64.efi driver is/was not loading automatically, so loading it by hand got me into my new windows 10 install. Now my issue is getting that driver to load, I have copied it into EFI\CLOVER\drivers64 (where I started it from) \EFI\CLOVER\drivers64UEFI and the 32 bit version is in the off dir but none seem to load at boot and loading it by hand every time I boot is not ideal, any ideas?

it's a long shot but try making a folder efi\clover\drivers and efi\clover\drivers32UEFI put the 32 bit version of the nvmedxe in both those and see if it boots it doesn't actually matter if clover is running 32 bit or 64 bit drivers since it just passes off to the windows loader anyway.
you could even try putting the 64 bit dxe in there but i am not sure what the result would be or if it would even work.

I copied the 32-64 files into every driver folder available not sure which one did the trick but it seems fixed (only one reboot but it worked) Writes are a little slow but not bad fot a 10 year old board with pci 2.0 / sata II..

well i've used this on my dual boot win 10 / ubuntu without an issue the process on linux is much the same however i ran the bdu from my win 10 and clover just picked up ubuntu on my other partition but it boots to ubuntu fine.

also as far as i know there is no thread specific search function.

Hello, this is just the solution I need, but unfourtunatly I can not get it to worked. The problem arises in step 3 I think, I do not get the same folders, I tried just using this path D:\EFI\CLOVER\drivers\off and coping the NvmExpressDxe.efi. I was able to boot to Clover, but when I tried booting to the windows installation media nothing happens... Hop somebody can help

I had trouble with the install media at first u need to make sure your install is ufei I tried with my existing iso but ended up having to use the download function latest iso function and make sure I had all the settings matched in the guide to get it to work. Also I had to look in the "hidden" selections to find the working install media.

The off folder under drivers is literally drivers that are not being used....
You need to copy the nvmedxe driver from the "off" folder to the other driver locations.... most of the time simply copying the driver to the efi\clover\drivers\BIOS and efi\clover\drivers\UEFI is enough however you may wish to also copy the driver to efi\clover\drivers32UEFI if you don't have any of those folders feel free to create them and place the driver inside as there is no harm done by doing that. if you have folders like efi\clover\drivers64 you may also wish to try placing it there aswell.

good luck and happy modding.... report back with a list of folders under efi\clover and clover\drivers if you still cannot get it to work

Hello all,

My doubt is the next: I have an old Sony VAIO VPCEB3L1E without UEFI option in BIOS, so I can install Win 10 x64 only in Legacy/MBR mode in my SATA 3 HD. The system takes about 3 minutes to boot up.
Would I get some improvement in the booting time or in performance into Win 10 x64 using the clover trick?

Only so far as running a sata ssd would get you for which you wouldn't even need clover, unless you have a pcie port (sometimes m.2 ) to stick a nvme card in ?
I do highly recommend even the jump from a traditional mechanical drive to an ssd as mechanical drives top out around 10 or 20 mbps in their read and write speeds but sata ssd's are often around the 500 mbps mark which is considerably faster.

By the moment my question is about my actual configuration.
I do not think to have the PCI express option, si I ask abuto to improve my actual system with clover. Is it possible?

Hello everyone.
I have a gigabyte x58a-ud3r motherboard of course with legacy bios.
A few days ago I bought a corsair pcie nx500 - of course I want to install windows 10 in it.
I try to follow the steps in this guide. And I'm a little stuck.
Yes I managed to create the clover partition. I'm stuck in step 3a. I don't have the drivers64 folder I only have drivers folder and if I go into the drivers folder I have the NvmExpressDxe.efi file. Is it okay ? I mean there are no 64.
In addition to step 3b - ... Legacy BIOS: to \ EFI \ CLOVER \ drivers64
None of this exists!

Would appreciate help

Adding clover on its own will not improve your system infact it will actually slow it down as it will require additional boot time. I recommend instead to speed up your computer that you obtain a 2.5 inch sata ssd instead.
