Maybe it is the same problem.
Just to make it as clear as possible:
1. If you want to flash an original (=untouched) BIOS, you can use the standard BIOS flashing procedure, but you should not rename the BIOS file, not even the extension of it.
2. If you have modified the AMI UEFI BIOS of an ASUS mainboard in any way, you have
a) to rename it according the ASUS rules and
b) to flash it by using the ASUS USB Flashback feature.

My current System:
MB: ASRock X570 Pro4, CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600, System Drive: 500 GB Samsung 980 Pro, Graphics: Sapphire Radeon RX570, OS: Win10 x64 Pro

I sent a message to OP. I too have Z77 with 2104 version of BIOS. That version was last released by ASUS in Aug 2013. I was hoping to get modded BIOS.

I read somewhere that Samsung 960 series can boot with legacy bios (due to the samsung controllers). Is this true?

You only need to follow this guide - [Guide] How to get full NVMe support for all Systems with an AMI UEFI BIOS
Z77 Sabertooth has UEFI BIOS not legacy, so you should be good following the guide

Hi @Fernando and @Elchi

I just joined today, with hopes of receiving the modded Sabertooth Z77 BIOS file from either of you - since I am not allowed to send either of you messages

I did in fact read the guide posted by @Fernando, but I am unable to download the latest unmodified BIOS from ASUS (I guess they gave up supporting these old boards)

Would either of you please message me the modified BIOS, I would be very grateful. Thanks!

Contrary to you I found an ASUS link to the original BIOS 2104. >Here< is it.
Now you should be able to modify it according to >this< guide. Don't expect a ready modded BIOS from my side. I didn't write the step-by-step guide with the intention to do the work myself.

I followed a few locations, it seems ASUS DE (Germany) still has the file.

I can confirm that.either product pictures,files and even entire support pages of products keep disappearing.if i have to guess,Asus is moving files to new servers or something like that.who knows
scroll down,click on region and change it to global then manually search for product from support section
