Hello,
My first post here.

Trying to install windows xp onto a Gigabyte Z170-HD3 motherboard.
I have tried slipstreaming virtually every driver I have been able to find. I successfully installed Windows 7 32 bit no problems onto the 850 EVO drive by using Gigabytes own Slipstreaming tool.

Long story short:
The device I can see with Windows 7 is: A102
I have an 850 EVO installed onto port 0
I am using an unmolested Windows XP SP3 ISO.
I always get BSOD 7B no matter what I do.
my bios does not have the option of using IDE mode on the SATA configuration.
I have tried all bios versions available and all have the same issue.

I have on order a SATA card that is windows XP compatible in hopes that this works, but still trying to do this none the less
My last attempt was to set the SATA to RAID instead of AHCI to see if i could use different drivers. This yielded a "better?" result. I can see a new grey screen from windows.net and i can see that is detecting the card and that it detects the hard drive. I still get error 7b, but i believe i have some progress. Maybe I need to format the drive (it has windows7 32 bit installed) in regular FAT32/NTFS to see if having the drive clear will get past the 7B error.

If anyone has any idea, i'll gladly appreciate it.

I have a brand new windows xp cd being shipped (original copy).
I have tried 3 different copies and the SHA1 match.
I have tried using nlite for the integration as well as WinSetupfromUSB 1.6.
I am also suspecting that i might have less issues or no issues at all if i use a cdr with winlite integration.

So,

my problem was that I was trying to install from USB (even though it was connected to USB2/1.1). After I started using CDRs. the installation proceeded without errors. But now after the first reboot I get again the 7B error. Why? Its like its not copying the integrated drivers that were integrated from NLite?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fernando, you are right.
I am in windows xp now... but.. no mouse... i guess this is really something that only bios can solve.
Thanks for this tutorial..... Had i read it completely it would have saved me 2 days... and hell of a lot of time...
I guess i ahve to try to make my software work in windows 7. There is just no way to make this work.

HDD: Western Digital WD3200AAKS 320GB, Seagate ST332062 320GB
ACHI Driver: Intel(R) 100 Series/C230 Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller
Device ID: VEN_8086&DEV_A102

I read the guide posted by Fernando and integrated the text mode DEV_A102 driver from modified v11.2 RST drivers.
But still, when I tried to Install Windows XP, it result a blue error screen.

Dear Fernando, I really appreciate for your advice, I could successfully install the windows XP~~~Yeah~^o^
However, I faced another trouble right after I finished the setup process. Except the mouse and keyboard, none of the usb ports were usable. So, no flash memory, no external HDD...hah ToT. I tried to find the driver for it but it seems like intel doesn't provide driver that support Win XP. I don't expect I could use USB3.0, I just wonder if there is anyway that I can use USB.2.0 at least. Thanks.

I decided to solve the USB problem by using the USB3.0 card for windows XP. The USB card's model name is 305NEC-EX, Manufactured by Renesas Electronics.
Driver name: Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller
Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_1912&DEV_0014

The problem is, according to the product details, the USB card should support windows XP, but the result I got after I tried not only the driver CD but also the driver file that you uploaded on the first post of USB3.0 was a code 39 error (Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing.)
I am sure now my XP is pretty clean because I just installed it few minutes ago. The usb problem is my last step, thanks.

Hi Thanks for drivers. I surf internet about two week for my problem and few day ago i found your web site. i have Acer Aspire E1-572G (Model No:V5We2) . I integrated your 8-series drivers and My problem Solved But after installing windows xp finished blue screen appear and my note book resets. My office have Application, only run in windows xp. do you have any advice about this Blue Screen!
