Thanks for quick answer.

F5 did same function as F7.

Why I integrated old driver: I'm just confused and choosed it for better compability. I will try newer one.
Edit: I can't decide what to choose

I'm planning to format my HDD and make 1 or 2 partition.

As my current partition setup is GPT im planning to format it (with Windows 7 DVD)

Should I just integrate driver for my DEV_XXXX or all drivers?
And Is integrating INF Update (PnP) necessary?

1. If you want to integrate the Intel RST driver v11.2.0.1006, you have to choose the modded and not the WHQL variant.
2. You should only integrate the support of the specific Intel SATA AHCI Controller, which is working within your system.
3. You don't have to integrate any PnP driver.

Hi Fernando,
Tried all solution to install WinXP-32 -All my tests ended with a STOP: 0x0000007B bluescreen.
- PC config: ASUS Z97-WS
- SATA-III interface: Intel(R) 9 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller 8C82
* PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C82&SUBSYS_85341043&REV_00
- DVD-ROM connected to ASmedia SATA-III interface

BIOS setup made:
- FastBoot = disabled
- CSM = enabled (can't disable due VideoCard compatibility)
- Missing menu "Dynamic Storage Acceelerated" !!!
- Missing menu ASmedia SATA 3 Mode - mode can't be changed !!!
- Intel SATA mode = AHCI

Tried original WinXP SP3 VL ver.5.1.2600.5512 with your drivers:
- Universal 32bit Intel RST AHCI+RAID driver v11.2.0.1006 mod+signed by Fernando.rar

Tested with external USB 2.0 DVD-ROM same result, blue screen with error 0x0000007B.
You got good result with installation on Asrock Z97. < link here>
Can you suggest something for my motherboard? Thank you for any help.

Since this is the typical "wrong driver BSOD", I am pretty sure, that you have either done a mistake while trying to integrate the support of your "Intel(R) 9 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller" (DeviceID: DEV_8C82) or used a Windows XP image as source, which was not "clean" (untouched).
My advice:
1. Use an original XP SP3 (= untouched original MS version) as source.
2. Integrate just the Intel SATA AHCI Controller DEV_8C82 support according my guide.
3. Make sure, that the target drive for the OS istallation is connected with one of the Intel SATA3 ports running in AHCI mode.

1. Used original CD with MD5 checksum f424a52153e6e5ed4c0d44235cf545d5 - tested!
2. Integrated JUST Intel SATA AHCI Controller DEV_8C82 as on picture
3. Target drive is connected to Intel SATA-III port and bios was set to use AHCI mode for this port.

This is the process:

HDD for XP install was tested and used before on another PC with installed XP and then formated.
Where is my mistake mr.Dieter ?

Where did you get the XP image, which you have used as source?
Is there a file named WINNT.SIF within the i386 directory of the mounted image?

Language is not important - DE EN RUS or other... just to see that XP setup started successfu and exclude ISO problem.

I tested 5 or more Original images from differet sources - all give me the same result.
And I think that if I'll purchase one - and will have same negative result.
Till today nobody left positive feedback about successful installation of XP on ASUS MB Z97 series.

First i like to thank you for the how-to you made. I got to install windows XP on a X79 chipset but i ran into another problem en maybe you can help me?

The installation went pretty good... but at the part where i need to put in the product key code i get an error ''product key invalid''. And i can't get any further because of this error.
There is nothing wrong with the product key, i double checked it and tried 3 other keys (i do this for a company and and they have 5 pc's running on XP with the product key stickers on it). It is al legal and officially bought but i can't get pass the product key.

Do you really believe, that the identical Intel AHCI driver causes a "wrong driver BSOD" with ASUS Z97 mainboards, whereas it is running fine with ASRock Z97 systems?

Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
Your reported problem is a wellknown one and caused by the integration of Microsoft's Service Pack 3 into an XP SP2 image.
Solution: The CD Key will be accepted, if you either use an original Windows XP SP3 as source or install XP SP2 and run the Setup.exe of the SP3 later.

YES. Different BIOS cause this problems... The ASUS bios is very strict - for ex. ACPI is strict... no MODs possible. ASmedia SATA work only in AHCI mode... and many other points...
