I see. When you downgrade manually I suppose you mean Have Disk Method. I was thinking: Install v13 RST Setup RAID, Reboot, Uninstall via Setup, Reboot, Install v11 RST Setup RAID & Reboot. I know that the Intel setup detects that you are performing a downgrade and asks if you want to replace your newer driver. In that case, I can't imagine that the BSOD will happen.

I read in your post at the top that the newer orom aren't supposed to TRIM with anything prior to the P35 5-Series(ICH10/R). Now that I have tested that the Newest RSTe TRIM_MOD rom does Trim with the ICH8R in RAID-0 maybe you should update you post to reflect this new discovery of compatibility so other's may give it a try if they wish .

You are totally right - the start post and the thread title have to be updated, because you have verified, that TRIM in RAID0 support is even possible for P965/ICH8R chipset.
Meanwhile I have done it and hope, that it is ok now.
By the way: It would be a good idea, if you would update your last BIOS modding report (>link<) as well, because it is not easy to recognize, that you completely succeeded with the update of the Intel RAID ROM v13.5.0.2164 and now have TRIM in RAID0 support with your ICH8R Southbridge.

I tried to read this thread a bit but I am still in doubt.

With thee drivers would TRIM work on my Sony vaio AW laptop which has ICH9M-E SATA RAID Controller and PM45 chipset if I raid 2 SSDs in Raid 0 ??

and my controller(ICH9M-E) is listed there and that is support raid but only if its made of a maximum of 2 drives not more.

Now the question is if TRIM will work ...hmm

Well my guess is yes, but its just a guess. I think the real question is "Can you mod it into your bios"? Fernando has guides, and if you hunt on Google there are others floating around.

There is no guarantee, but I think, that TRIM in RAID0 will work with your ICH9M system, provided that you get the modded BIOS properly flashed into the BIOS chip of your laptop.

My current System:
MB: ASRock X570 Pro4, CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600, System Drive: 500 GB Samsung 980 Pro, Graphics: Sapphire Radeon RX570, OS: Win10 x64 Pro

The problem is not the added RAID module (it doesn't matter it it is usable or not), it is the flashing of a modded (non genuine) BIOS into a mobile system.

Hi Fernando, I just wanted to drop by to say thank you so much for all your efforts over the years. I am a member of your old forum, I stumbled on your forum years ago back in the Nvidia nForce 2 days and continued using your driver packs for many years after. I have taken some time out from having my own home system, but recently last year put another gaming PC together as per my signature, out of mainly outdated parts but it still goes very well for it's age. I found your thread about CPL0's development of modding the OROM for many old motherboards and took the time to flash my own BIOS with this modded Intel RAID OROM, I have now 2 x 160GB Intel 320 SSD's in RAID0 and TRIM is working perfectly. The performance difference is fantastic, it is atleast double the performance of a single drive. I will post some screenshots of CDM and ATTO and ASSD when I get home. Also I will happily upload the latest 1202 BIOS for ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 w/ Intel RAID OROM 10.1.0.1008 that has been tested be me if anyone would like this ?

My Rigs: Home(Gaming) Intel i7 990X, ASUS P6T Deluxe V2, Kingston 24GB HyperX DDR3 1600, PC Power & Cooling 1KW, 2 x Gigabyte HD7970, Auzentech XFi Forte, 2 x Intel 320 160GB SATAII RAID0, Antec P183 V3, Scythe GT 1850 x 3, Thermalright Ultra 120 w/ Scythe Ultra Kaze 2000.
