I need TRIM on SSD RAID. I have Asus P8H67-V mobo with H67 chipset and 3707 bios. I downloaded "Universally TRIM modified Intel RST(e) RAID ROM v12.9.0.2006 with TRIM in RAID0 support" file, MMTool Aptio and BIOS file same is installed. I loaded bios image to MMTool and selected bin file as module file. Now, I do not know which one I'd choose: Insert or Replace. If true choice is Replace, what I choose from the following list? is 2B SataController right option?

I'm actually trying to add the "AHCI BIOS Security Extension" http://www.tb-kaiser.de/ahci_sbe/ to my BIOS (my motherboard is the : m5a97 R2.0 from asus), my motherboard don't support this feature (UEFI and AMI) even after asking the support they said that the motherboard doesn't support this feature and it's all.

During my research I've see another related thread here but this extension is from 2006 and don't support AHCI
All my attempt to add this feature have failed - here the tutorial that I try to follow

-I don't understand what f*** is PCI_VENDOR_ID and PCI_DEVICE_ID of my ETHERNET card even after some research I don't understand why I need them and I've found as result 10ec;8168 (found with a linux liveCD on my desktop with the command : lspci -nn | grep 0200) which I'm sure they are wrong values (appears to be some generics stuff) but I've still no network card in my desktop (because I will change soon)

-After downloading the bios from the asus website I've a .CAP file as I understand this is only a .ROM file with a header but can I directly use this .CAP in MMtool or I need to convert it, and if yes, how I can do that?

But instead of replacing another module in bios wouldn't it will be possible to insert it ?? And what do exactly "Link present" in "For Option ROM only" ?

I am having problem with AMIBCP 4.55 Version tool while editing with GA-Z97-D3H bios Z97D3H.F9. I can open the bios in AMIBCP but I can't edit or save as AMIBCP crashes while doing the same. I have tried lower versions of Bios too but the same issue..I have tried it in AMIBCP V5.0 but it says it is not Aptio V image...

What may be the issue? any help?

Ok here we go, Hello community. It's been a while since I have got a chance to modd a bios, since my z77 Premium from ASUS, but I have read the notes and I know that I can't use the UBUTool w/ my bios, this time around I own a ASUS X99-Deluxe currently using Bios version 3101. I have read here that I can't use the UBUTool to update the microcodes of my new CPU XEON 2696 V4, cause UBUtool is having problems w/ X99 bioses, ok all that been said, the other option is to use AMI Aptio 5 Tool from CodeRush, fine I understand the process to follow to use this tool. But here is the question:

1- Where do I find the latest microcode files from Broadwell EP and the latest ME files as well, and ones I get this files what TAB on Aptio 5 Tool should I be looking for, the replaced TAB or the Insert TAB to update those two areas on my bios.

The main reason for me to update such bios is because the currently bios that I'm using the 3101 it only recognize my XEON 2696 V4 as a 18 Core processor, and ASUS are taking their time to support such mobo, so I decide to give it a shot my self and update the microcode and ME firmware since the ME firmware plays a big roll now on BIOS updates. If anyone can guide on how to insert or replaced this two options on BIOS I will appreciate him or her as well this community. The worst that could happen is to have a no boot system, not a problem replace the BIOS chip for a new one, problem solved. So long story short I'm willing to give it shot w/ someone's help. TIA

I just strat to learn mod BIOS. Today I make first modification - add RAID driver and it's work :D
Now I have question. If I want change some think else I can use moded BIOS or I must to use original?
Microcodes drivers, what else we can add change unlock with this tool?

I have a little question/problem. I've been updating manually my bios' CPU Microcode support succesfully, but since several bios versions, ASUS has fucked up XMP ram detection, and it seems they are not going to fix this for serveral RAM models. So, I was wondering if I can locate the "XMP or RAM detection" module or something like that on a previously fully working bios, extract it, and replace it onto the new bugged bios. Am I talking the imposible here? Can this be done?

PS: My motherboard is ASUS Maximus Hero VIII, the working XMP bios is 1701 version, last bugged one is 2202.

I have a problem to flash the modified bios. i followed every step in the guide and when i want to flash it via ez-flash inside the bios i got this error: "the selected file is not a proper bios". what now ?

my MB is Asus H170-Pro

You have to use the USB Bios Flashback procedure. EZ Flash works only with original and untouched asus bios files due to the signature check.
