I have an ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe motherboard. I use 4 1TB drives (Raid5) for storage on the Intel 3, 4, 5 and 6 connectors. The two (1 and 2) serial ATA 6 GB/s connectors have: 1) drive C: This was a Crucial M4 128 GB SSD. I have replaced this with a Corsair Force GT 250 GB SSD as a planned upgrade, but the problem occurred with the old SSD. The new one makes no difference. The operating system Win7 is on this SSD. The second connector 2) has a Crucial M4 128 GB with programs other than the OS.
This worked fine but despite my best efforts the 128Gb SSD was filling up. Before replacing it I updated the BIOS. Now on boot up the windows logo appears followed by BSOD. the message is 0x0000007B. I have set the BIOS to defaults. I have restored drive C: from a back up. I have put the new disk in and restored from back up. Same BSOD.
I have tried attaching a screen shot of the INTEL screen. Advice please.

Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!

Now to your problem:
The BSOD you got after having updated the BIOS indicates, that the OS is using the wrong SATA driver.
Since you have previously run all your drives in RAID mode, you have to set the SATA Controller to "RAID" again (the DEFAULT setting is "AHCI").
If this shouldn't help, I recommend to boot off the OS DVD/USB flash drive and to choose the "Repair" option. This way you may get a repaired Master Boot Record.

The screen you have posted shows the "Intel(R) RST RAID Utility", which is able to create, delete and to configure a RAID array. It will only pop up while booting, if the Intel SATA Controller has been set to "RAID" within the BIOS.
Did you get the BSOD after having seen the "Intel(R) RST RAID Utility" pop-up window? If yes, I suspect, that you had installed the OS in AHCI instead of RAID mode. In this case I recommend to unplug all SSDs/HDDs except the system drive and to do a fresh OS install in RAID mode. Once the OS is up, you can reconnect all the other SSDs/HDDs.
