Yes ! Good news , this means we can attach our Logitech-mouse on USB 3.1 ( not Intel, its Asmedia).
Will try the modded drivers , if it will give us more transfer-speed !
Its useless if its not an improvement, agree ?

    • Pete12 has written a new post "USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers (original and modded)" 01.13.2017

" Maybe I will offer in the future 32/64bit DPINST.EXE files to let the installation been done automaticly "..............guess I have to wait for this option.
The risk of losing USB is too big ! ( no mouse/ CD-drives etc. is not pleasant )
Any sight on the speed we can make with this update , is it really faster then the MS-Controller ( Win10) ??

Another option ; will this Logitech-mouse/Windows cable-mouse also work on an USB 3.1-port , this is an Asmedia-driver. ??

    • Pete12 has written a new post "USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers (original and modded)" 01.13.2017

" 1.Make sure, that your mouse and keyboard is not connected to any Intel USB port." ???
How to fix that ?? I have a Logitech-mouse/keyboard on USB 2-port and can replace this with a "cable-mouse" ,which works also , but still have to use USB 2 , I think they are ALL Intel.
      Only USB3.0\3.1 are Asmedia .

Any idea how to fix ?

    • Pete12 has written a new post "USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers (original and modded)" 01.12.2017

Thank you ! I did not know this !
Its very complicated coz there are many USB 3.0/3.1-ports . I have no problems with these drivers , so maybe better to keep them both ! ( Asmedia and Intel/Microsoft)

    • Pete12 has written a new post "USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers (original and modded)" 01.12.2017

I have several USB 3.0 ports on this ASUS Z97-K and also 2 USB3.1 ports , these 3.1-ports are connected on a USB 3.1-card , attached on the motherboard.
So the USB 3.0-ports are standard and these 2 USB 3.1-ports are extra ( bought this card later, for connecting on the motherboard to get some more transfer-speed ) I do use USB 3.0/3.1, the 3.1-ports are connected on two external HDDs.
Now is my question , which USB-port is from Asmedia and which ones are from Intel ??

    • Pete12 has written a new post "USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers (original and modded)" 01.12.2017

Fernando, do we really need the Inteldriver(Extensible Host Controller USBXHCI.SYS) , while Asmedia USB 3.0/3.1-drivers are installed also ??
If not , maybe better to uninstall the Intel-driver when its not needed ?

    • Pete12 has written a new post "USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers (original and modded)" 01.11.2017

I want to keep my drivers original, when possible, we have now installed; Intel(R) USB3.0 Extensible Host Controller-1.0 ( Microsoft) its in System32\Drivers\USBXHCI.SYS
Besides this Intel-driver we have latest Asmedia USB 3.0/3.1-drivers.
      I wonder if a newer Intel-driver is available for my Win10-OS ?

    • Pete12 has written a new post "USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers (original and modded)" 01.11.2017

      Not for Win10..........!? Wonder whats latest Win10-driver ( Intel USB3.0/3.1) ??

    • Pete12 has written a new post "Recommended SSD Tools" 12.08.2016

Ok, only; the usefull options you can easy apply them yourself !
Dont need this bloated installer , you can do these things in your OS ; switch off search-service , switch off indexing , switch off hibernation , put your download-folder into another HDD instead in your SSD and some more items for saving your SSD , still dont know WHAT this 5-version really does for your SSD ..........

    • Pete12 has written a new post "Recommended SSD Tools" 12.08.2016

" This is Samsung's own statement regarding the usage of their tool Magician (look >here<" ...............very ( none?) little information what this software really does for yous SSD !
I have used it in the past , but uninstalled it with the 5-version . I dont regret it at all , less " services" and other " tasks " which are slowing down your OS , while the profit of using it is really ZERO ( 0 ) !

    • Pete12 has written a new post "Recommended SSD Tools" 11.28.2016

You can install from scratch also , I will not use it anymore , im gaining more speed by losing services and tasks ( from Samsung Magician ) , while this "Rapid Mode" does not give you any profit at all ! Maybe later , after real progressive update, will try again .

    • Pete12 has written a new post "Recommended SSD Tools" 11.28.2016

Yes, it installed over the 4.9.7-version , its very small program now . I decided to uninstall competely , coz its not really an improvement !
If you have lots of RAM ( 32GB) and on Win10 ,you just dont need it , did not encounter less speed etc. after uninstall .
Positive is less services starting up and less tasks starting up , I wil test next days , but I think Im sure ; you dont need it , coz its not a real improvement for your system !!
Besides, Windows knows perfect how to handle SSD...........

    • Pete12 has written a new post "Recommended SSD Tools" 11.28.2016

Why not possible to install ?
According Samsung and your hardware it should be possible ............

    • Pete12 has written a new post "Recommended SSD Tools" 11.28.2016

Can not download ( yet ?) , when searching for updates Samsung ; latest version already installed ! ( 4.9.7 )

    • Pete12 has written a new post "Samsung SSD 850 Pro New firmware? " 11.16.2016

Very glad with your answer , so its not neccesary to format and install again for getting this recommended (?) 10% OP . Im using about 25GB of the 250GB , so it should be no problem.
Very good, coz Im very happy with this OS and with this SSD , its a great improvement compared with HDD !

    • Pete12 has written a new post "Samsung SSD 850 Pro New firmware? " 11.16.2016

So its not possible anymore, after installing the OS , to get this recommended OP.(??) Is it harmfull for your SSD, if you have only 4% instead of the 10% (recommended) ??
You think its better to format the SSD and first set OP on 10% ? Wish I knew this before I installed Win 10 on this SSD............

    • Pete12 has written a new post "Samsung SSD 850 Pro New firmware? " 11.16.2016

Yes, indeed firmware update , still version 4.9.7 after reboot.
Indeed, no chances encountered for my SSD 850 Pro , again not possible to set the OP (Over Provisioning) on recommended ( 23,8 GB) , Im now on 9,5 GB and thats all I can get !
When I try to set on recommended ( 10% ) , I get ; " Could not set the selected size , try smaller value " And finally managed to set it on 4% , a higher value is not possible !

Someone knows more then I do , please......?
