Iíve heard also that... and makes sense for the new hexa core models.
An i3 8100 on the other hand has the same tdp and core count of an i5 7500. I see no reason a coffee lake i3 wonít work with kaby or even sky lake power delivery.
Even during the good old lga775 times there was some back and forward compatibility and that was a time when chipsets were much more relevant than today.

I've just noticed during install it mentions the authenticode signature is not valid

      test was in AHCI mode.
the error was after installing the driver and during the OS restart. it was a Recovery error: your PC needs to be repaired.
I did not write down the exact error... I may try it again later

      bad news.
tried with windows 10 and H81 but got BSOD and needed to restore to a previous point.
strange also I had to use the "have disk" option even having imported the certificate ages ago.
Previous (and current) driver is v.13.2.8.1002

I have three different platforms here and am willing to test on those.
      Q65 with win7 and hdd
H81 with win 10 and ssd + hdd
H170 with win 10 and ssd
Please send me a link and will report soon

      Hi Dieter,
Is there any more information about the Intel RAID driver v13.44.0.1026 modded and signed by you?
will it work with all systems (from 6 series up)?
where is it possible to download a copy?
      thanks

      Hi,
there is a Gigabyte AMD HD 7970 which works fine with a full HD monitor but with a 21:9 screen (2560x1080) it is not possible to access the PC BIOS as there is no valid signal until it enters windows.
will a more recent GOP file solve the issue?

      thanks
Edit: will there be any real advantage to use the latest 1.63.xx GOP provided by @Sylar76, considered it's such an old card?|addpics|bpu-5-c558.jpg-invaddpicsinvv|/addpics|

have you tried to disable the controls from BIOS?

      @100PIER
is the first screenshot with Intel or Microsoft drivers?
comparison of the two drivers on the same hardware could be useful.
the third screenshot is taken with the internal Intel AHCI driver, right?
