    • I had same problem with Maximus V Gene and flashback.
It was corrupted bios file, then i moded fresh stock bios with UBU and MMTool for inserting nvme module, and it worked with flashback.
But i had no success with nvme, it just does not work with older asus motherboards.

I did few replacements of modules successfully before, but not inserting new ones. I did it with mmtool 3.26.
In bios there is no option for AHCI or RAID, because chipset does not support raid, only ahci.
Unfortunately i no longer have that modified bios.

This is a picture of unmodified bios.

      edit: sorry, no pic...

I have Asrock 960GC-GS FX AM3+ (AMD 760G + SB710 chipset, which supports AHCI) and BIOS is missing AHCI module.
Last year i installed WIndows 8.1 and when i installed AMD AHCI driver, system became very slow and choppy, almost useless, because of high usage "System interrupts" process. It worked well with Microsoft standard driver. Now i upgraded to Windows 10 and no matter which AHCI driver i use, system is very slow.

BIOS only contains 4392 module, but there is no 4391. I tried to insert it, but it does not load (i have other AMD motherboard, so i know how it supposed to look like). I'm not sure inserting AHCI module would help with windows, but i would like to try.

      Any advice?

    • Is there any way, to update Realtek LAN OROM PXE and EFI UNDI in APTIO 5 winth UBU?
I did update those modules in previous bios with UEFITool, but it took almost 3hrs to find both...

Maybe, when 200 series comes with usb 3.1 support.

    • Jest has written a new post "USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers (original and modded)" 09.04.2015

Because intel chipsets does not have usb 3.1 controller, that is why.
Gigabyte uses alpine ridge chip, which is actually thunderbolt controller.
Gigabyte is the only manufacturer with this type of usb 3.1, others use asmedia 1142 (i guess its cheaper)

    • It's me again. Now with a different problem.

I have Asrock Q1900M baytrail motherboard. Original came with TXE 3MB and i did update it to So i was curious if upgrade to 1.1 is possible.

I modded v13.6.3.1001 AHCI for j1900 baytrail and installed it on my test rig (Win7 x64). So far no instability or any other problem, but i'm using HDD here, so there's no need to do any benchmark.
It's just a proof of concept.
      Maybe i'll try v14 later.
